New Physics!

I bet you didn't see this one coming...
Neither did we!

Our physics engine has been buffed up a great deal, the physics are much more accurate now and projectiles take into account the angle at which they strike the terrain, meaning you can do all sorts of new fancy shots..

Nemo does a trick shot using the new physics and low gravity!
The physics look a little unrealistic in this video, that's due to the low gravity.

Shocking Awesome.

Censored!

Super. When can we download the new version?

Excellent! It's strange that I haven't ever noticed such a flaw in game physics... Smile Can't wait to try it out!

I can't wait to try it out! Awesome work guys!

Thanks and about trying out:

Well, it's not commited to the svn (0.9.12-dev) yet as it's still a work-in-progress with many things to do, so it would make testing their stuff harder for devs if we would commit the new physics to the svn head already (but if you want to try it out on a local copy of the svn: you could ask for the current patch for testing in live chat, I could even make you one for the 0.9.11 svn, I believe)

I think I'll have it finished soon though, especially because I got Nemo's attention and assistance now (thanks (-: ) as he really wants to see some hogs bouncing off walls and girders etc. Big Grin
That help is encouraging and really appreciated by me as I've been entirely new to coding and debugging Hedgewars, thanks Nemo! <3

Tiy's optimism is exaggerated anyway, because in addition to the new physics being unfinished it is yet to be known if they will be accepted into the real game at all - as that will be unC0Rr's decision (unfortunately he's currently unavailable), we'll see ^_^

Awesome! I've been waiting for this for a while.

"new physics" discontinued

(therefore won't be in 0.9.12)

sorry :/

Discontinued? will it be in the next release?
