some quick help for a linux guy

Hello, my video card broke on my windows computer a while back and i couldnt play hedgewars because of graphics problems, now i am back on a linux computer. i installed 9.12 via playdeb and it works fine but when i try to connect i get an error message saying:
incorrect command (state:not entered)
help?

What version of Ubuntu are you running?
Unfamiliar with that one but maybe is some Qt error?

Looks like the error has to do with your password?

hay when i load a game there id no map backround everything works fine otherwize . I am using ubuntu 9.10 any help would be helpfull thanks
raticate34, do the Blox, Cake or Planes maps, or the cheese or Snow themes, have a background?
If so, I suspect either your graphics card is limited to textures of 1024px, or is not correctly reporting texture size.
