cannot start lan server or connect to existing one OSX

Hi,
I have strange problem - i cannot connect to existing lan server or create one:
tested versions 0.9.11 and 0.9.12
tested machines:
10.6 MacPro 2.1
10.6 Intel Macbook (white)
10.6 Intel MacbookPro
Only I get is "connecting..." (even if creating own lan game)
sometimes it works.. sometimes changing port helps ... I don't know what might be a problem
are you running some firewall that may block inter and outer connections?
