The grenade is blue and black. It is rather heavy, but still light enough to be lobbed a decent way into the air. Upon exploding, which is an epic sound accompanied by a flash of light, the grenade creates a swirling spiral that is black in the middle and black and blue in the swirls that lead into the middle.

The black hole persists at that location and does not leave until it is filled. It creates a gravitational pull that attracts anything and anyone that goes by. If something just grazes the edge of its pull, which comes from the center and extends beyond simply what is seen, it can be changed from what otherwise would have been its course. If a Hedgehog, grenade, crate, and so on gets too close and is pulled into the center of the black hole, the hole closes up.

An explosion, just like the original one that created the black hole, then appears at a random location. It does not matter if it is above water or in land as the explosion will destroy the land around it and throw Hedgehogs to the side. Whatever was sucked into the black hole will now be spit out of it from the center as the black hole re-appears for a short moment, spits whatever it sucked in out, and then closes.

This weapon may be complicated to create, but would bring a lot of interesting game-play elements to Hedgewars.

1: The sounds and visuals of the Black Hole Grenade will be fun to watch and hear.

2: The gravity affect will bring a cool element into the game-play. 2.1: Players can strategically place the Black Hole Grenade, much like a mine, but instead they have to time and throw it right and it stays wherever it explodes until it is filled.
2.2: Player will have to be carefully of their weapons or Hedgehogs being sucked into the hole whilst trying to knock other Hedgehogs into it.
2.3: The Flying Saucer and Rope would be extra tricky to use.
2.4: Multiple holes will pull into and eat each other.

3: It will add a sense a peril as the Hedgehog that is sucked into it might be spat out over water.

What do you all think? How hard would this be to program?

1: We already have a working grenade.
2: We can already teleport Hedgehogs.

It's basically a grenade that creates a spot on the screen that when something goes into it that something is teleported somewhere else. The explosions around the creating of the hole and the exiting of the whole is to deal with the land that would otherwise get in the way. This way a Hedgehog is never teleported into land because the exit hole will blow the land away the moment before the Hedgehog gets put there.

The only big thing we don't already have in other weapons that this weapon would need creating is the gravity that would pull things inward at a varying strength. For instance, the center of the black hole image is the center of the gravity pull that is a spiral that gets weaker the further from the center. If a grenade is thrown that just barely grazes the pull, the grenade might be pulled up and slung around a little from its original course. Whereas if it was thrown directly at the hole, or rather close it its center, it would be pulled in and the hole would shut around it and create the exit explosion and spit the grenade out somewhere else.

I think this would be cool because Hedgewars has a lot of cool physics like the Rope, Flying Saucer, and that the Hedgehogs roll. This would be a neat physics style weapon that I do not think I've ever seen in either Wormux or worms.

Try looking at Super Transball 2 and see how the ball (once lifted from the platform) fallows the space-ship if the ship gets close enough to it. I don't want the pull to be too big as it would not be as fun. Part of the fun is slinging grenades in odd patterns (maybe further) if it grazes the gravity field.

I suppose another team's Hedgehog could just throw a grenade into the hole to close it. But where will it come out at and would it be worth the risk?

I'm thinking that most pre-sets would set this as a super rare weapon. But, of course, people could toggle their own sets however they want.

Also, sense a black whole is tunneling through space and time, perhaps the exit is not instant. Instead, it could be set to a random number turn order before the object is exited back out. The grenade may be sucked in on this turn, but who knows what turn it will be spit back out on?

Also, if people like the black holes, perhaps a black hole game-play mode could be created that spawns a set number, like mines, around the map at game-start.

Also, if a Hedgehog is sucked into the hole, it counts as having been defeated unless it comes back. This way saw someone starts with four Hogs, losses two in combat, losses one in the hole, and loses another in combat. Now, as long as it is before every other team is defeated, this player will be back in the game if his Hog comes back through. (He or she hoping that the Hog doesn't just come back in over the water.)

Also, sense it is a spiral, perhaps when the Hog comes back it can be slung accordingly. This way the player can hope that, even if the Hog is coming in over water, that it might be slung back onto land.

Not sure of the weight, fuse time, or other things.

Similar to effect of portal gun, which is still on the to-do list.

I know a keep suggesting a lot of concepts such at the Black Whole Grenade and throw-able barrels. (After having seen the new barrels which I love) I love this game and want to be a positive part of it. I do think I have found a way though. I think I will add a hat. That way I leave a positive mark on the game and contribute to its development. Just thought I'd mention it so people know that I make suggestions is because I love the game and want to place a positive mark on it by me.

Noone will blame you for suggesting things even if they're not accepted (or applied at once). Doesn't mean they're bad, not liked or whatever. As long as your posts are constructive (like yours here) just keep it going. Wink Smiley
