hello,
so assuming that by "use demos" you mean watching them, you just need to put them into the following library from your home directory
~/Library/Application Support/Hedgewars/Demos
then start Hedgewars and select local game; you'll see an icon for watching replays and there should be your demo listed

If you actully mean download it you will have to look around until you find a download link.
But if you actually mean install a map, you just have to put the folder (all maps have map.png, map.cfg and preview.png but some will also have mask.png) in /pathtoHedgewars.app/macosx/data/maps (I think )

yes i got the map thanks but i still can't figure out the demo...

For a Demo, you have to put it in /user/library/application support/Hedgewars/demos
You will also have to make sure that it has a .hwd file extension.

I have a demo that someone sent to me but I don't know where to put it. You guys say put in the "Demo" folder put there is none in the "Data" folder. Just Map, Missions, Fonts, Forts, Graphics, Locale, Misc, Music, Names, Scripts, Sounds, and Themes but NO DEMO FOLDER or saved.

Should I create a folder :/ ?????

the Demos folder isn't in the hw installation dir but in the hw configuration dir...

so
Linux: ~/.hedgewars

Windows: My Documents/hedgewars ( or Documents and Settings/hedgewars or something like that)

for mac use the path koda suggested
