Retirement announcement (sheepluva)

Dear fellow developers and players, my beloved friends,


I am sorry, but I have to announce that I will retire from Hedgewars as developer, as admin, as player and as active community member by the end of this week.

Although this is a decision that I had to make myself (it wasn't easy believe me... and it took me many months), I had no choice to decide different.

Since, sadly, this seems to be the only right and responsible choice for the situation I'm currently in.


So yes, I'm leaving... with a heavy heart, hoping that our paths may cross again sooner or later.

I want you to know that the years with you guys have been wonderful.
Years in which I met many nice and impressive people.
Years which brought me much joy and comfort.
Years which warmed my heart and broadened my horizons.

Also ... I owe you guys way more than I could express and I'm ashamed that I have to turn away from you like this, leaving so many unfinished things behind.


Maybe the day will come when I'll be able to return ... but unfortunately that day won't be any soon.

Announcing your retirement like this makes it so much sadder. Sad Smiley It's easier to just silently slip away like Smaxx. Or just check the forum less frequently. Do drop by again every now and then.

Your contributions both as our fluffiest member of the community and as a code monkey won't be forgotten. Um, now what were they again... /me checks ohloh... oh yeah, sine gun, yay! Sheep we're really gonna miss you. I hope we can stay in touch because i consider you a good friend Smile. (read=im spamming ur email lol jk). Seriously though, I'm really gonna miss you sheep. Its gonna be weird joining the server and not seeing those warm hellos you always gave me. You were always such a great listener. We will never forget you buddy, you will be on our minds whenever we look at Sami's hat Big Grin I would also like to add that we (at least i do) appreciate that you said goodbye and announced you were leaving instead of just disappearing. i had some things to do for a few weeks and haven't been around and just now saw this post...
are u ok?
i understand that being a dev or admin is quite some work, but u could just drop by at least 5 times a week to play with my genitals (for those who don't know, "genitals" is my team name) and all the players who call u friend.
