It looks like there is some drama with Freenode and most of free/open projects (including Battle for Wesnoth, Ubuntu and others) are migrating to Libera Chat.
Do you have any plans to do that as well?

Check on irc.libera.chat #hedgewars.
The iframe in https://www.hedgewars.org/chat points to libera.chat too.
