Shoryuken

“Shoryuken!”
Overview
The shoryuken is one of the few melee weapons in Hedgewars, meaning it is only good in close combat. Like whip and baseball bat, it deals 30 damage.
Properties
• Damage: 30
 • Charge to shoot: No
 • Affected by wind: No
 • Can be used mid-air: Yes
 • Can collect crates
 • Ends turn: Yes
 • Retreat time: 3s
 • Crate type: Weapon
How to use
Pressing the Attack key (default: SPACE) will make the hedgehog perform the attack. It only works when you are right next to the target.

The shoryuken also has the unique property to penetrate land while the attack is performed.

You can punch hedgehogs and pretty much all land objects such as barrels and mines.
Hints
• Shoryuken can be used on multiple hogs at once, they must all be closely grouped together though (or in the same vertical alignment).
 • For added height, backjump into the air (default: 2x BACKSPACE) and then use Shoryuken.
 • Use Shoryuken to punch mines, and barrels into other hedgehogs.
 • Shoryuken can be used instead of parachute to entirely negate fall-damage. Simply jump from an impossibly high cliff and then use shoryuken just before your hog hits the ground.
Trivia
• The name “Shoryuken” (昇竜拳) comes from Street Fighter and literally translates as “Rising Dragon Fist”.
 • Shoryuken is often referred to as "Fire Punch" by Hedgewars players, and indeed, by some Hedgehogs, too.
History
• Shoryuken was one of the first weapons to be added into Hedgewars, and was originally named “Fire Punch”.
