I love Free Software and I love Hedgewars. From what I understand, Hedgewars is currently under version two of the GNU GPL. I was wondering if the Hedgewars Team has considered updating to the version 3 license of the GPL. While version 2 is respected as a Free Software License, version 3 was created to better protect freedoms as version 2 was becoming out of date with tivoization and other such troubles that were against the spirit of Free Software but not, from what I understand, explicitly against the version 2 license. Secret Maryo Chronicles, for instance, is now released under GPL3. Has the Hedgewars Team considered updating the license to version 3. If so and they have decided to stay at 2, I am curious as to what it is about version 3 that discouraged its adoption by the Hedgewars Team.
