Hedgewars 0.9.25-RC1

It's that time of the year again! The next Hedgewars release is in the works. Smile

Release Candidate 1 for version 0.9.25 is here!
This is not the official 0.9.25 release yet, just a preview version for testing, especially if the Windows build works OK. Please give feedback!

The next version is mostly bugfixes (a LOT of bugfixes!), but has a few new features as well, including a bit of overhaul of existing game styles, more taunts, and a couple of other things.

Read the preliminary changelog here! It's pretty long.

For Windows users
Download 0.9.25 Release Candidate 1: Hedgewars-0.9.25-RC1.zip

GNU/Linux users:
As always, see Building on GNU/Linux, which should still apply. But it is strongly recommended to run:

cd ~/hg/hedgewars/trunk;hg pull -u;hg up efa901b04bad;cmake .;make install

To make sure you are in sync with the Windows version.

Fixed (for me)!

hit the airmine: great feature!
nice new taunts and sounds.

- Just got an Exit code 217 while playing mutant, cannot rejoin the other player who was still ingame.
- We got air attack in cavern maps
- There is a step when using blowtorch or pickhammer through the border (wrapworld)

This RC's looking good.

* Fix hog being unable to walk after using sniper rifle without firing both shots
* Fix sine gun dealing damage to attacker if shooting up
* Fix crash when 2 or more controllers were connected

Many thanks for these bug fixes! Haven't noticed any new ones either. ;p

This bug prevented you from walking on your next turn if you only took one shot?

Could you build the macOS version, please?
I only have a macbook, and it is useful for test the macOS version.

I probably need to explain this better. This is a bug in 0.9.24 and can be triggered like this:
- Shoot with sniper rifle once
- Get hurt or run out of time (before you can fire your 2nd shot)
- The next time this hog has its turn, it cannot walk, until it correctly fires a sniper rifle

It's rare, but when it happens, it's bad. But it's fixed.

Sadly, this never happened to me. Whenever a crash like this appears, we need your log files (game0.log in Logs/ in your user directory).

Was this in Highlander?

I have looked into the styles and I found that Highlander does not account for cavern maps at all. I have just fixed that. Thanks for the report! Wow, what a bug, it seems this bug must be very old and has gone unnoticed for a very long time!

Yes. The wrap border still has a few bugs. Many of which have been fixed, but there are still many small things to go.

I believe bugs of this kind you just mentioned might require a major rewrite.
