As there was no recent hedgewars package for Ubuntu 10.04(bit old but it's the current LTS) i downloaded the debian hedgewars packages on my PC. hedgewars-data required no modification, but for the other one i had to tweek it slightly, here is my modified package for anyone running Ubuntu 10.04 still

I'd like to suggest a script to be added to the downloadable content page. It's called random weapons and equipment. It's similar to the random weapons script, except that you get a random weapon, a random "transport type" object, and a random piece of equipment.

There are several other additions, including:

- Random Strike (drops random items)
- Random Object (throwable)
- Egg (throwable)
- Barrel (throwable)

Howto install script (stolen from vatten and modified;))

1. First copy the files from the links above
2. paste them respectively into files cavanagh.lua and cavanagh.cfg in:
~/.hedgewars/Data/Scripts/Multiplayer (Linux)
~/Library/Application Support/Hedgewars/Data/Scripts/Multiplayer (OSX/Mac)
My Documents/Hedgewars/Data/Scripts/Multiplayer (Windows)
3. Restart Hedgewars (not your computer).

known problems

wind meter is unreliable

some players spawn facing left

*i know technically it should be to the right but i decided to conform to the platforming standard

helps player learn basic weapon usage
hopefully will be included in 0.9.18
i am aware of camera issues
