Very low FPS rate (5-10)

Hello. In battle i have low FPS (5-10).
Video card - ATI X1950 with latest drivers.
CPU - AMD 5200+
OS - Windows 7, RC with all available updates.
I've tried different ways to solve the problem:
1. Compatibilities modes (All, or almost all of them).
2. Decreasing all graphical options.
Tried any other game using OpenGL? Guess its some driver issue (might be running in software mode only or something worse).

Yeah, I bet if he pulled glxinfo it would say DRI was disabled.
I've had problems like that in past on my intel card - fortunately now seems resolved (I'm using karmic beta on that machine).
5-10 FPS when basically doing software rendering, 15-20fps with Reduce Quality option enabled.
Now that everything is fixed up, can get 30fps easily even at full quality and 1024x768.

good luck ati is SO ANNOYING with their drivers I am using linux and have had so many problems GOOD LUCK.

soir, i had a similar problem.
win 7 x64 and an ATI Radeon X1600 card. i couldn't play the game at all, had < 1 fps and even with 640x480 it was only about 15 fps. it looked like the pc wasn't using the graphics card at all, cpu usage was always 100%.
but i got it working by following the instructions here:
