Hello. I have an annoying bug for the recording feature. When the attempted recording reaches about 99%, it stops. The game itself is fine, but it doesn't finish the encode, and I am forced to cancel it. What can I do to fix the problem, or at least, log what the problem is?

First I've heard of this. Can you give more details about your platform please? Operating system, virus scan software in place...
Oh. Also, do you have sound/music muted in-game?

I am running Debian Jessie. I compiled the game myself. Music and sound work perfectly ingame. I have Clamav installed, but I don't see how it would effect the recording process.

I didn't ask whether they worked, rather whether you had them enabled, when doing the recording. Did you?
Also, does the encoding you use matter?

Sorry, I didn't understand the question. They were both enabled. I haven't checked if changing the encoding method changes anything, and will do so about now.

edit: tried with different encoder and with sound off. Still never reaches 100%

I would suggest filing a bug. Otherwise, no idea. Does the debian package work?

If I install the debian package, would it load an automated server hosting daemon? Some games install a daemon which automatically launches a server for a game and I have no idea how to turn it off. That's why I tend to build games on source. That and the game possibly not being on the debian package system, being out of date, or in the case of single player games, not being able to use the trunk build.

edit: Change in package didn't do anything. At least it doens't host a dedicated server like some other games do... :P

Danfun, you've bumped this twice now, it isn't going to add anything. We have the bug filing.
