On Windows and macOS, you don't need to build Hedgewars yourself, you can download it here:
https://www.hedgewars.org/download.html

On GNU/Linux, you will normally obtain Hedgewars from your package manager. Also see the Download page for more infos.
Note the GNU/Linux distros traditionally need a couple of weeks to update their packages.

My OS is ubuntu. I built yesterday 1.0.0 and I played the new version. I used https://hedgewars.org/kb/BuildingOnLinux ? instructions.

But I think that I need a command to enter to this version, because when I launch HW it runs the old version.

So, how can I launch the 1.0.0 version, that is already installed?

The build instructions you followed have the line:
hg update 1.0.0-release

I asked if you had run that. Because if you don't, you may be unable to play others online (or at least no one who is not on the latest development sources)
